Position Summary:
The Healthcare Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various administrative tasks within a healthcare setting. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. The Healthcare Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of the healthcare facility, supporting healthcare providers, and delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and manage patient appointments, ensuring timely scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations as required.
2. Maintain accurate patient records and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate seamless patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
4. Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to provide information, address inquiries, and resolve any issues or concerns.
5. Assist in the coordination of healthcare programs, including patient education initiatives, vaccination campaigns, and wellness programs.
6. Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely reordering.
7. Collaborate with insurance providers and billing departments to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims, resolving any billing-related issues.
8. Coordinate and schedule meetings, conferences, and training sessions, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.
9. Assist in the development and implementation of healthcare policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
10. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in healthcare regulations, sharing relevant information with the team as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in healthcare administration or a similar role.
3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
4. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and data management.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Proficient in using healthcare management software and electronic medical records systems.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
